Handlebar Mustache Chain Lube

In my package design class we were given the challenge of coming up with a bicycle chain lube design for Colonel’s Bike Shop. I brainstormed lots of possibility, but none of them quite fit the attitude that Colonel’s wanted. I finally arrived on the idea of using a handlebar mustache as the inspiration for my packaging.  Mustaches have a cult following now that I thought would work well for the clients that Colonel’s caters to.

I came up with three versions for the logo of Handlebar Mustache Chain Lube.

Here is the logo I decide to go with.

The packaging for Handlebar Mustache Chain Lube features a mustache background and a vignette that features the logo, name, and all the information. Everything is covered in a distressed texture.
